Beverly Kidd
Integrative Cousellor and Psychotherapist

Whatever you are struggling with talking to a professional therapist can help you to make sense of what’s troubling you, work out what to focus on to feel better and clarify any changes which may help. I offer a free initial telephone appointment for 30 minutes so that you can have an opportunity to talk to me and begin to judge whether you can work with me, with no obligation to continue.

Finding a therapist who is right for you can feel challenging, add to this the prospect of sharing your thoughts and feelings and it can begin to feel very daunting. I will meet your courage in taking this step with kindness, understanding and acceptance. My approach is one of gentleness, calmness and sensitivity matched with a steadfastness and compassion to help you to work through your issues, especially those where you feel stuck.

I have over 30 years of experience supporting people from all walks of life with a wide range of physical, emotional and mental health issues. My service provides:

  • bullet A range of tried and tested approaches which I tailor to suit your unique needs.
  • bullet A confidential, professional and ethical therapeutic experience.
  • bullet Therapy based in current scientific evidence from psychology, counselling and psychotherapy.
  • bullet A collaborative approach where we work together as a team with your potential for improved well-being, personal growth and effective, positive change.
  • bullet Therapy which meets the exacting standards and ethics of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
  • bullet Short, medium and long term therapy.

I currently work exclusively with adults (over 18 years old) but I bring training, knowledge and experience of development across our life spans to support you to work through the issues you bring to therapy. My background as a qualified psychologist supports this with training and experience in learning disabilities, autism, cognitive impairments, learning theory and psychological ill-health. I also have 26 years’ experience as an informal family carer and have undertaken research in this area. All of this study, work and life experience combine in the therapy I can offer you.
